Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main destination, noting that full-time work is the largest category, and correctly report several figures, including 15% for part-time work and 5% for part-time work with postgraduate study. You also include information from both visuals. However, coverage is partial: the overview does not summarise the salary table as a whole, and the comparison of salary groups is incomplete. The statement that government-sector salaries increase by 15% at every income level is inaccurate: the figures are 5%, 15%, 30% and 50%, so the increases are not uniform. The private-company pattern is mentioned but not explained. A clearer overview comparing the main salary features, followed by accurate comparisons across employment types, would make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some paragraphing and a recognisable sequence: it introduces the visuals, gives an overview, then discusses destinations and salaries. However, progression is not consistently clear. The salary paragraph moves from freelance consultants to government and private companies without fully explaining the comparisons, and it ends abruptly with “the private companies had different pattern.” Linking expressions such as “whereas,” “meanwhile” and “followed by” are attempted, but some are used mechanically or do not show the relationship between the figures accurately. The overview also combines unrelated points in one sentence. Organise the report into a clear introduction, a concise overview, and separate detail paragraphs, using comparisons to guide the reader through each group.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “full-time work,” “postgrad study,” “freelance consultants” and “income level,” so the reader can identify the main topics. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts difficult to interpret, such as “the pie chart illustrates the who complete their degrees,” “dipicts,” “higest,” and “genrating.” Phrases such as “workers work” and “who getting this salary” are also unnatural. Use precise reporting language, for example “accounted for,” “earned,” and “salary band,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. More accurate vocabulary would help you describe the data without relying on repetitive or unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to use more than simple sentences, including contrast clauses with “whereas” and “while,” but control is limited and errors occur frequently. For example, “the pie chart illustrates the who complete their degrees” lacks a grammatical structure, while “the part-time work + postgrad study and full time postgrade study was” has a subject–verb agreement error. “In government sector 50% workers work and genrating 100000dollors” also lacks clear sentence structure, and punctuation and spacing are inconsistent throughout. These errors sometimes make the intended comparison hard to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled clauses: for example, “Government employees were most likely to earn $100,000 or more, at 50%.”
