Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover both visuals and identify the main destination correctly: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, while combining part-time work with postgraduate study is the smallest at 5%. You also report several salary figures accurately. However, the overview is incomplete because it does not summarise the main salary pattern, and some comparisons are unclear or inaccurate. For example, you describe the private-company “highest range” as 30%, although the largest share there is 35% earning $50,000–$74,999. The salary discussion also omits the $75,000–$99,999 figures and does not clearly compare the three employment types. Select the key contrasts and report each salary band precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on graduate destinations and a final paragraph on salaries. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the two visuals. Some linking is effective, including “followed by” and “Additionally,” but connections are occasionally mechanical or unclear. The long destination sentence beginning “8% percent of the did…” makes the figures difficult to follow, while “Along with this others…” does not clearly identify the group being compared. Organise the salary details by employment type or salary band, and use clearer references and shorter sentences so comparisons are easier to track.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, such as “proportion,” “dominant,” “salary” and “freelance consultants,” and the reader can generally understand the intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “did nothing” for graduates who were unemployed and “the tables has presented the income.” Spelling errors such as “Anthropolgy,” “unmployed,” “higehst” and “employeed” are noticeable and reduce precision. Some phrases, such as “the some amount of freelance consultant,” are difficult to interpret. Aim for accurate, conventional expressions for describing data and employment, and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “while” and a relative clause in “what they did after graduating.” However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors occur frequently enough to make some details harder to understand. Examples include “the tables has presented,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “private companies was also the sector,” where the plural subject takes a singular verb. Articles, sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention; for instance, the opening sentence is awkwardly joined, and commas around “whereas” are misplaced. Build accuracy with shorter sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement and punctuation.
