Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the main destination, full-time work (52%), and include several other figures, so the response is relevant to both visuals. However, the overview is only partly clear: saying part-time work with postgraduate study is the smallest category overlooks that it is tied with other categories only if compared carefully, and the chart shows it at 5%, the lowest. The salary overview that government-sector workers “had the more salaries” is too broad; the table shows the highest share in the top salary band for government employees (50%), while freelance consultants have 40% and private-company employees 30%. Salary details are very limited, and “all the money are increased” does not accurately describe a distribution across salary bands. Develop the key comparisons more precisely and report the table’s figures clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with an introduction, an overview and separate paragraphs for the two visuals. This helps the reader recognise the topic and the broad division of information. However, progression within paragraphs is weak: the first data paragraph moves from full-time work to “not known and unemployed” and then back to postgraduate study without a clear comparison pattern. Linking expressions such as “Firstly” and “Moreover” are present, but they do not consistently show the relationship between the figures, and some punctuation around them interrupts the flow. Organise the destination figures from largest to smallest, then compare salary bands across employment types. Clearer grouping and more accurate referencing would make the response easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “graduates,” “full-time work,” “unemployed,” “freelance consultants” and “government sector,” which gives the response a minimally adequate range for describing the visuals. However, repeated or imprecise wording limits clarity, particularly “share,” “salaries” and “increased.” Several spelling errors are noticeable, including “anthropogists,” “propotions,” “postgardstudy” and “comapare.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “salaries earn” and “all the money are increased,” making the intended salary comparison difficult to understand. Aim for precise terms such as “proportion,” “salary band” and “earned,” and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts a few longer structures, including “what anthropology graduates … did after complete their undergraduate degree course” and “Not known and unemployed has the less difference,” but these are not controlled reliably. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur frequently: “after complete” needs a different verb pattern, “work had” shifts tense unnecessarily, and “has” does not agree with the plural subject “Not known and unemployed.” Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “have a only 8%” and “Freelance consultants has the lowest salaries.” Punctuation spacing and comma placement further affect readability. Use mostly accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled comparisons, for example: “Full-time work was the most common destination, at 52%.”
