Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both the graduates’ destinations and the salary table, and your overview identifies the main destination correctly: full-time work is the largest category at 52%. You also accurately compare the top salary band, noting that it accounts for 50% in government, 40% among freelance consultants and 30% in private companies. However, some details are unclear or incomplete. The sentence saying that 8% “were also not known” confuses full-time postgraduate study with the not-known category; each is 8%. You omit the 5%–15% salary bands and give little comparison of the lower salary ranges. To strengthen the response, report the categories distinctly and select a few comparisons across the full table.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, then a paragraph on destinations and one on salaries. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “On the other hand” and “Furthermore” help signal the stages of the report. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear, particularly “people who work part-time and also continue study in postgrad is only 5% and 8% of people who gives their full-time to study postgrad and were also not known.” The reader cannot readily tell which figure belongs to which category. Use separate, parallel statements for the six destinations, and make comparisons within the salary paragraph more systematic. Clearer referencing and more precise links between figures would improve the progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time,” “postgrad,” “government sector,” “salary range” and “freelance consultants,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is somewhat repetitive, with frequent use of “people” and “found,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate: graduates “found full-time job” is less suitable than saying they “entered full-time employment,” while “gives their full-time to study” is awkward. There are also spelling errors such as “thier” and “priovate.” Aim for precise terms such as “graduates,” “accounted for” and “earned,” and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, and the overview and salary comparisons are mostly understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement and punctuation are noticeable. For example, “people who work part-time and also continue study in postgrad is only 5%” has a plural subject with a singular verb and an incomplete grammatical pattern; the following “and 8% of people who gives” also lacks a clear structure. In “50% of people working in government sector earned,” the article is missing before “government sector.” There are also inconsistent sentence openings and extra punctuation in the introduction. Use complete, parallel clauses and check subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
