Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart below illustrates what newly graduates learners from same universities will do after completing their undergraduate degtrees in Anthropology. The table below will demonstrates the monthly incomes of the anthropologists in work after five years.
Overall, one half of the students got a job of full-time work and the highest salary band was most common in the government sector.
Just over half of graduates 52% went into full time employment. The next largest groups were part-time workers 15% and unemployed 12%. Fll timne graduates and unknow destinations each accounted for 8%, whereas only 5% combined par-time work with postgraduate study.
Turning to salaries after five years, the figures deiffered noticeably by sector. Governmnet employes were most likely to earn highest salary of $100,000 or more, at 50%, compared with 40% of freelance consultants and 30% of those in private companies. Freelancers, however, dominated the $75,000-99,9999 band 40%, ahead of government sector 30% and private companies 25%.
Private companies showed a different pattren. Their employment were 10% in the lower and middle bands $25,000-49,999. While government sector and freelancers earned lowest band only 5%.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both the graduates’ destinations and the salary table, and your overview identifies two important features: full-time work is the largest destination, while the top salary band is most common in government employment. The destination figures are generally accurate, and your comparisons of the $100,000+ and $75,000–99,999 bands are also correct. However, some details are incomplete or unclear. For example, you describe private-company employees as earning “10% in the lower and middle bands,” although 10% applies only to the lowest band; 35% are in the $50,000–74,999 band. The final comparison of the lowest band is also awkwardly expressed. More precise coverage of the salary distribution would make the response more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, a brief overview, a paragraph on destinations, and a paragraph comparing salaries. Sequencing phrases such as “Overall” and “Turning to salaries” help the reader follow the shift between the two visuals. However, some connections between details are abrupt or unclear. The sentence beginning “Private companies showed a different pattern” does not clearly explain what the contrast is, and the following “While” clause is left as a fragment. The salary paragraph would progress more smoothly if you grouped comparisons by salary band and used clear linking language to show how the sectors differ. Overall, the organisation is sound, but cohesion is sometimes mechanical or imprecise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing charts, including “accounted for,” “compared with,” “dominated,” and “salary band.” These choices help communicate the main comparisons. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or awkward word choices are noticeable, including “degtrees,” “Fll timne,” “deiffered,” “Governmnet employes,” and “pattren.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “newly graduates learners” is unnatural, and “monthly incomes” is not supported by the chart, which reports salaries without specifying a monthly period. Aim for accurate chart terminology and proofread carefully, as these issues reduce the precision and naturalness of your vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, and several comparisons are expressed clearly, such as “50%, compared with 40% … and 30%.” Some grammatical errors remain, however. In the introduction, “The table below will demonstrates” combines an incorrect future form with the base verb; use “The table shows.” “Their employment were 10%” has a subject–verb agreement problem and an unsuitable sentence structure. The final “While government sector and freelancers earned lowest band only 5” is an incomplete clause and lacks a clear grammatical frame. There are also article and number issues in phrases such as “the highest salary.” More consistent control of sentence boundaries and agreement would improve accuracy.
