The chart below shows what Anthropology graduates from one university did after finishing their undergraduate degree course. The table shows the salaries of the anthropologists in work after five years.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The pie chart illustrates what students of Anthropology from a university did after completing their undergraduate degree course. Also there is a table given which illustrates anthropologists's salaries in work after five years.
As wr can see that full-time work is done by 52% of the students, then the percentage of part-time workers is 15%, 5% of pupils did part-time work while studying their undergraduate degree. 8% students were full time pupil, then unemployment ratio is higher than previous catagories and it is 12%, remaining 8% of the graduates were unknown.
The table chart illustrates salaries of graduates after five years of work. There are different types of emloyment, first one is freelance consultants, second one is job in government sector and the last one is employ in a private company. The salary ranges from 25000 dollars to [redacted phone] dollars. Percentage of freelance consultants and government sector officer is same and it ranges from 5% to 50% with a liitle change in salary range from 75000 dollars to [redacted phone] dollars. The percentages for private companies's employes are 10%, 35%, 25% and 30% respectively.
Conclusively, the salaries of the graduates is quite impressive for all the students.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the main destination category correctly: full-time work accounts for 52%, and you report the other destination figures, including 15% in part-time work and 12% unemployed. However, one figure is misinterpreted: 5% combined part-time work with postgraduate study, not undergraduate study. The salary section is only partly reported. You give the private-company figures accurately, but for freelance consultants and government employees you describe a range rather than reporting each salary band, and the claim that their percentages are the same is misleading because their distributions differ. The final comment that salaries are “quite impressive” is subjective and not supported by the table. A clearer overview of the main contrasts would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about graduate destinations, a paragraph on salaries, and a concluding sentence. This gives the information an overall arrangement that is easy to follow. Basic linking expressions such as “then,” “also,” and “conclusively” help signal movement between points, although some connections are mechanical or imprecise. For example, “then the percentage of part-time workers is 15%” lists data without showing how the categories compare, while the salary paragraph moves from naming employment types to a broad salary range without clearly organising the figures by band. Grouping the salary data into meaningful comparisons and using clearer references would improve progression and cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “full-time work,” “unemployed,” “salary ranges,” and “freelance consultants,” so the topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, such as “pupils” for graduates, “unknown” for graduates whose destination is not known, and “employment” where you mean employees. Spelling errors such as “catagories,” “emloyment,” and “liitle” are noticeable and reduce precision. Some phrases, including “salary is quite impressive,” are evaluative rather than suitable for objective chart reporting. Aim for precise terms such as “graduates,” “destination not known,” and “salary band,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your response includes both simple statements and some attempts at more complex structures, and the main message is usually understandable. However, grammatical errors are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “As wr can see that” has an incorrect clause pattern, and “5% of pupils did part-time work while studying their undergraduate degree” does not express the chart category accurately. There are also agreement and article problems in “the salaries of the graduates is,” and the opening sentence “Also there is a table given” is awkwardly constructed. Try using direct, controlled reporting sentences—for example, “The chart shows that 52% of graduates entered full-time work”—and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
