Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main destination pattern accurately: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, while only 5% combined part-time work with postgraduate study. You also provide an overview and make relevant salary comparisons. However, the salary account is incomplete: the statement that private companies paid most workers in the $50,000–$74,999 band is accurate, but “Only 30%” is left unfinished, and several salary bands are not compared. The overview’s claim that government was the best-paying sector is broadly supported by its 50% in the top band, but freelance consultants also had 40% in that band. The response is four words below the required minimum. Develop the salary comparisons and complete the final point to cover the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, destination figures, and then salary information. This makes the main topics easy to follow, and phrases such as “Overall” and “In terms of salary” help signal the shift. However, the final paragraph breaks off at “Only 30%,” leaving the salary discussion without a complete ending or clear reference to what that figure represents. Some information is also crowded together in the destination paragraph, for example “15% did part-time work 12% were unemployed,” where punctuation or a linking phrase is needed. Use complete sentences and connect the salary figures more explicitly so the progression feels less abrupt.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “destination,” “postgrad studies,” “unemployed,” “salary,” and “employees.” Some attempts at more formal wording, such as “remuneration,” are appropriate in principle, though the spelling in the response is inaccurate. There are also several imprecise or unnatural choices: “engaged into full-time work” and “best paying entity” do not sound natural in this context, while “graduants” and “prefered” are misspelled. “Venturing in it” is also an awkward way to describe employment. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but more accurate collocations and careful spelling would make the report more precise and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and some more developed sentence forms, including the opening contrast between what the chart and table show. Most of the intended meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems are noticeable. For example, “more than half of the graduants engaged into full-time work” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “15% did part-time work 12% were unemployed” joins two clauses without suitable punctuation or a conjunction. The phrase “Full-time postgrad study and students whos destination remained unknown consisted of 8% each” also has an unclear grammatical relationship between the categories and the figures. Aim for complete, clearly punctuated sentences and check agreement and clause structure.
