Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover both visuals and report many of the figures accurately, including the 52% in full-time work and the salary distributions for most employment types. However, the overview is vague and partly inaccurate: “there are noticeable among the categories” does not identify a clear main pattern, and “part time work is low graduate course” is unclear. The claim that the data show “fluctuations” or “no stability” is not well suited to these categorical comparisons. There is also a significant figure error: government-sector salaries of $75,000–99,999 are 30%, not “305.” To strengthen the response, give a concise overview of the dominant destinations and the main salary contrast, then report the figures accurately and clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on graduate destinations, and one on salaries. This helps the reader recognise the two parts of the task. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, particularly in the salary paragraph, where figures are listed in a long sequence without clear sentence boundaries or grouping. Linking phrases such as “Furthermore” and “This show a clear comparison” are repeated or do not explain the relationship between the data. Organise the salary information by employment type or by salary band, and use comparisons to guide the reader through it. Clearer punctuation and more precise references would also improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time work,” “postgrad study,” “freelance consultants,” and “government sector,” so the topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spelling errors make parts difficult to understand: “activite,” “Unempolyed,” “foe,” and “there are noticeable among the categories.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “fluctuations increment as well as decrement” for static category data and “no stability all the activities.” Aim for accurate, natural terms for describing proportions and comparisons, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would make the report clearer without requiring unnecessarily complex wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, “The given bar chart illustrate” has subject–verb disagreement, while “This show a clear comparison” also needs agreement. The overview sentence “Full time work is the highest and the part time work is low graduate course” lacks a clear grammatical relationship between its ideas. Punctuation and sentence boundaries are also unreliable, especially in the extended salary list, where several figures are joined together. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use shorter, accurately punctuated comparisons before attempting longer structures.
