Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response identifies some relevant features, including full-time work as the largest destination and the government sector as having the highest share in the top salary band. However, the overview is unclear and contains a major contradiction: it calls part-time employment the “main priority,” although full-time work accounts for 52% and part-time work 15%. Several figures are misreported: the least common destination is part-time work plus postgraduate study at 5%, not the unemployed group, which is 12%; full-time postgraduate study and “not known” are both 8%. The salary discussion gives only a few figures and does not compare the three employment types systematically. To improve, present an accurate overview and select key comparisons from both visuals, including the salary distributions across sectors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the report into an introduction, overview and detail paragraphs, so the reader can recognise the intended structure. However, progression is weak: the overview repeats or conflicts with information later, and the body moves from graduate destinations to salaries without a clear, balanced sequence. Linking phrases such as “Scrutinising deeper,” “Digging deeper,” and “Hereby” are repetitive or do not establish useful relationships between points. The final sentence announcing a conclusion adds no information. Group the destination figures together, then compare salary bands by employment type, using straightforward links such as “By contrast” or “Regarding salaries.” Clearer paragraph focus and accurate referencing would make the report easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response attempts a range of formal and descriptive vocabulary, including “delineated,” “dominated,” and “Scrutinising,” and uses relevant terms such as “Government sector” and “Private companies.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing statistical data, sometimes making the meaning difficult to interpret: “main priority of work,” “salary that was borrowed,” and “accurate 10%” are examples. Spelling errors such as “remarkeble,” “Governemnt,” and “tha” also reduce precision. Prefer standard chart-reporting language and use it consistently; for example, describe a proportion as “accounted for” or “stood at,” and refer to salary bands as “earnings” or “salary ranges.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response includes some attempts at complex structures, such as “the students, who didn't get job was around 8%,” but control is inconsistent and errors frequently affect clarity. There are problems with agreement and sentence construction: “the amount of students … dominated” uses an unsuitable singular construction, while “the students … was” mismatches subject and verb. Articles and plurals are also unreliable in phrases such as “after completing their undergraduate degree course” and “three type of employment.” Some sentences lack clear grammatical relationships, particularly “The main priority of work was part-time employment that students did after graduation.” Use simpler, complete sentences first, check subject–verb agreement and articles, and ensure each comparison has a clear subject and verb.
