Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main destination clearly: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, and you include the other destinations. However, the overview is not fully accurate or sufficiently focused. Saying that “a quarter” work part-time is misleading: the part-time category is 15%, or 20% if combined with part-time work and postgraduate study. The salary overview also claims freelance consultants and government employees receive the highest revenue, but the table shows government workers most often in the top band (50%), while freelancers and private-company employees each have 40% and 30% respectively. Several figures are misreported, including the freelance top salary band, which is 40%, not “similar” without a clear figure. Select the key comparisons and report them accurately to make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic structure, with an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for destinations and salaries. This gives the reader some sense of how the information is grouped. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven, and linking is often mechanical: “Initially,” “Then,” and “sceondly” mainly list figures rather than show meaningful comparisons. The overview also combines unrelated claims in one sentence, while the salary paragraph moves through categories without a consistent comparison pattern. Some references, such as “other percentage,” are unclear. Organise the salary data by employment type or by salary band, and use precise links such as “by contrast” or “whereas” to make relationships between figures easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “destination,” “unemployed,” “freelance consultants,” and “government sector,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “gets highest revenue” does not describe the proportions in the salary table, and “similar wages to freelancer” is unclear. “People get wages about” is also an awkward way to report a salary band. Spelling errors such as “querter,” “goverment,” and “sceondly” are noticeable. Build a more precise set of expressions for describing proportions and salary brackets, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can usually identify the figures being discussed. However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns. For example, “The pie chart and table illustrates” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “5% are work” and “8% students are work” use incorrect verb forms and omit necessary grammatical elements. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “after the graduation more then half of the student work.” Punctuation and spacing around commas are inconsistent. Practise accurate patterns such as “52% of graduates worked…” and “The proportion who were unemployed was 12%,” then apply them consistently.
