Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You report several accurate figures from the destination chart, including 52% in full-time work, 15% in part-time work, and 12% unemployed, and you identify full-time work as the largest group. However, the overview is limited and does not clearly summarise the main salary pattern. The salary discussion contains a significant misreading: “40 percent got the 1000000 dollars” should refer to the $100,000+ band, not $1,000,000, and the freelance figures are not simply “40 percent” below that threshold; the table divides them across four salary bands. You also omit useful comparisons, such as government employment having the highest share in the top band (50%) and private companies having the largest share in the $50,000–74,999 band (35%). Select and compare the key figures more precisely, and give a clearer overview of both visuals.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: it first describes graduate destinations and then turns to salaries. This gives the reader a general sense of the two parts of the task, and phrases such as “Regarding to the salaries” signal a change in focus. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven. The first paragraph repeats the idea that full-time work is the largest category, while the salary paragraph moves between sectors without systematically comparing the salary bands. Linking words such as “While” and “Moving to” do not always make the relationships between ideas clear. Organise the response around a concise overview followed by grouped details, and use comparisons to connect related figures rather than listing them loosely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “full time work,” “unemployed,” “post graduate studies,” and “salary,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning unclear. For example, “the full time work carries more wheightage” is not a natural way to describe a chart category, and “salary bucket” is too informal for an IELTS report. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “universirty,” “grduates,” “across” misspelled as “acrros,” and “perecnt.” Use precise terms such as “proportion,” “salary band,” and “employment sector,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses joined with “while” and “where,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure and agreement occur frequently enough to make some statements difficult to follow. For instance, “Some students remains unemployed their amount is 12 percent” joins two clauses without suitable punctuation or a connector, and “the corporate sectors offers” has a subject–verb agreement problem. There are also issues with articles and prepositions in phrases such as “Regarding to the salaries” and “got the full time work.” Aim first for accurate, complete sentences: use “Some students remain unemployed, accounting for 12%,” and check agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
