while the table compares their salaries in the three employment sectors after five years.
Overall, the most interesting information is that full-time work was the most popular choice among the youth after completing graduation. while government employees were the most likely to earn $100,000 or more.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both the graduate destinations and the salary table, and your overview identifies two important features: full-time work is the largest destination (52%), and government employees have the highest share in the top salary band (50%). Most destination figures are reported accurately. However, the salary discussion contains a significant misreading: government employees earning $75,000–$99,999 account for 30%, not 40%; 40% applies to freelance consultants. The comparison that freelance consultants and government employees both have 5% in the lowest band is accurate, but the private-sector figures and the distribution across salary bands are only briefly covered. This addresses the task well overall, with some details less fully developed and one inaccurate comparison; more precise coverage of the table would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, then separate discussion of destinations and salaries. This makes the main categories easy to follow. Some linking is effective, as in “According to the pie chart” and “Regarding salaries,” but cohesion is occasionally mechanical or faulty. For example, repeated “while” clauses interrupt the flow, and “Meanwhile” does not clearly signal a contrast in the sentence about unemployment. The salary paragraph also moves quickly from government to private companies and consultants without consistently comparing the same salary bands. Use clearer paragraph-level progression and connect comparisons explicitly—for example, contrast the proportions in the top band across all three sectors. This would make the organisation more controlled and the relationships between figures clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main information, including “destinations,” “employment sectors,” “government sector,” and “postgraduate study.” However, several choices are informal, imprecise, or awkward for an academic report: “most interesting information,” “doing unknown things,” “earning very well,” and “decent” do not describe the data neutrally. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form problems, such as “unkown,” “un-employed,” and “graduates become the full-time worker.” Some salary expressions are inconsistent, including “$75k to $100k” rather than the table’s $75,000–$99,999 band. Aim for precise, neutral reporting vocabulary and accurate labels for each category; this will improve clarity and appropriacy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentences, including the opening contrast between the chart and table and the sentence beginning “Overall,” but control is uneven. Errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation are noticeable: “while” begins a new sentence with a lowercase letter, and the overview joins two clauses with an awkward full stop and repeated “while.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence structure, as in “52% graduates become the full-time worker,” “8% student are doing,” and “Freelance consultants employees having equal shares.” These patterns sometimes make the reader pause, although the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Practise accurate plural subjects, article use, and complete clauses, while varying simple and complex sentence forms more reliably.
