Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both the graduate destinations and the salary table, and the overview identifies the main pattern: full-time work is the largest destination, while government employees are most likely to earn the top salary. Most figures are reported accurately. However, one key figure is wrong: part-time work combined with postgraduate study is 5%, not 8%. The table discussion also omits the notable contrast that private-company employees are most concentrated in the $50,000–74,999 band (35%), whereas the other two employment groups have their largest shares at $100,000 or above. Your response therefore selects relevant features and gives useful comparisons, but some details are less fully developed or precise than they could be.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response is organised effectively into an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the pie chart and table. The progression from the overall pattern to supporting figures is easy to follow, and transitions such as “To begin with” and “Turning to the table chart” clearly signal shifts in focus. Comparisons are also linked with “whereas” and “meanwhile.” Some linking is slightly mechanical, and “However” does not express a clear contrast in the sentence about the two categories at 8%. The final table sentence would be clearer if it explicitly compared private companies with the other sectors. Overall, the structure is logical and cohesive, with some room for more precise connections between details.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “accounts for,” “proportion,” “earnings,” and “salary,” and the meaning is generally clear. However, a number of word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the language less precise: “table chart,” “teritary,” “passout,” “comapnies,” and “employement” are examples. Phrases such as “the income of Anthropologists on workplace” and “offers the highest earnings” are also unnatural in this context. Some expressions, including “largest income to” and “working earning,” make the intended comparison harder to understand. Aim for accurate, conventional terms such as “employment destination,” “graduates in work,” and “salary band,” and check spelling carefully. This would make your adequate range more controlled and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a clear overview sentence and clauses introduced by “while” and “with.” The main information is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “the information what the … destination” has an incorrect clause structure, and “the completion of their master degree” has problems with article and number. In “Graduates with part-time work and postgrad study is,” the plural subject requires a plural verb; “freelance consultants gives” and “private companies offers” show similar agreement errors. There are also awkward sentence patterns in “offers largest income to” and “only 5% fall into the lowest brackets.” Work on subject–verb agreement, articles, and constructing comparisons accurately while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
