Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify several key destinations accurately: full-time work (52%), part-time work (15%), unemployment (12%), and full-time postgraduate study (8%). However, the overview is left unfinished after “Overall,” and the response does not clearly summarise the main patterns across both visuals. The table is also misinterpreted: its percentages show salary bands, not salary increases. For example, 40% of freelance consultants earned $75,000–99,999 and another 40% earned $100,000 or more; these figures do not mean salaries rose by 40%. The government and private-sector figures are similarly described as increments. The response is also 39 words below the required minimum, limiting the detail and comparisons provided. Include a complete overview and accurately compare salary distributions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence: it first reports graduate destinations and then turns to salaries, using “Furthermore” and “Moreover” to signal the shift. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, the opening overview is incomplete (“Overall,”), and the ideas are presented as a short list rather than developed in clearly structured paragraphs. The salary section does not explain how its figures relate to the table, so the connection between the data and the claims is unclear. Some linking is also repetitive or mechanical. Organise the response into an introduction, a concise overview, and separate detail paragraphs for destinations and salary bands; use comparisons to create progression rather than simply adding another figure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary such as “graduates,” “full-time,” “part-time,” “postgrad study,” and “government sector,” so the topic is generally understandable. There is some range in how you describe the categories, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for this chart. “Increment in their salaries” suggests a rise over time, whereas the table reports the proportions in different salary bands. “Selected” is also not a natural way to describe graduates’ destinations, and “jobless” is less suitable in this formal report than “unemployed.” Spelling errors such as “Anthoropology” and “postgrade” further reduce precision. Choose vocabulary that describes distributions and earnings accurately, and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
Most sentences are simple and their basic meaning can be followed, as in “12 percent were remaining as jobless.” You also attempt a conditional-style comparison with “If we see in the govt sector,” but the structure is incomplete and does not form a clear comparison. There are problems with articles and sentence construction in “The illustration gives the information about destination,” while “Only 8 percent choose” shifts into the present tense despite the data describing graduates’ outcomes. The unfinished “Overall,” also leaves a sentence fragment. Use complete sentences, maintain past tense when describing the outcomes, and practise combining accurate clauses to compare categories. These changes would make the report clearer and more controlled.
