Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify several key figures accurately, including full-time work as the largest destination (52%) and part-time work combined with postgraduate study as the smallest (5%). However, the response does not give a clear overall summary of the table, and its comparisons are limited or inaccurate. The claim that starting salaries are “almost same” overlooks that the lowest salary band is 5% for freelance consultants and government employees but 10% for private-company employees. The statement that government salaries show a 10% increase “after 3 year” is unclear and not supported by the table, which compares salary bands rather than changes over time. Report the main salary pattern—for example, the largest shares in the top band for government and freelance work—and compare all three sectors accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a generally understandable arrangement: it introduces the two visuals, describes the pie chart, and then turns to the salary table. This gives the reader a basic sense of progression. Linking expressions such as “In addition” and “Finally” also help connect some details. However, the pie-chart paragraph reads largely as a list, and the table discussion is too brief to develop a clear comparison. The transition from the salary bands to “after 3 year” is especially difficult to follow because the table contains no time sequence. Use separate, clearly developed paragraphs for the two visuals, and organise each around an overview followed by selected comparisons. More precise referencing would also make relationships between figures clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “distribution,” “categories,” “salaries,” and “unemployed,” so the topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word-choice or spelling problems reduce precision, such as “gradutes,” “catergoreis,” and “comapres.” Phrases such as “biggest portion” and “least section” are understandable but less natural for describing chart proportions; “largest share” and “smallest proportion” would be more appropriate. “Starting salaries” also misrepresents the table, which groups salaries into bands rather than showing starting pay. Aim for accurate terms such as “salary band,” “sector,” and “accounted for,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response communicates its basic meaning through mostly simple sentence patterns, and it attempts some longer structures, for example, “The pie chart shows the distribution …, graduates doing full time work are 52 percent.” However, this construction joins ideas without a clear grammatical link, and several sentences have punctuation problems, including missing spaces after full stops and commas. There are also errors in sentence structure and agreement, as in “Private companies have increase of 5%,” where the verb form and article are missing. The sentence beginning “While 12% are unemployed” is a fragment. Practise forming complete sentences with accurate verb forms and articles, and use full stops to separate independent ideas.
