Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main destination feature accurately: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, and you report the other key destinations, including unemployment and postgraduate study. Your overview also highlights the higher earnings in government and freelance work. However, the salary comparison is only partly developed: you give the top-band figures for two sectors and the private-sector middle band, but omit the substantial contrast that 40% of freelance consultants and 30% of government employees also earned $75,000–$99,999. The final sentence is incomplete, ending after “private sectors were 10,” so the lowest salary comparison is not fully reported. A clearer overview of the salary distribution and a complete comparison would make the response more fully informative.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the chart and table. This makes the two visual elements easy to distinguish, and phrases such as “Overall” and “Moreover” help signal relationships. However, progression within the salary paragraph is less controlled: it moves from the highest salary to the private-sector middle range and then to the lowest range without completing the final comparison. Some linking is also mechanical, and punctuation spacing in “Overall, more” and “while,in” interrupts the flow. Use clearer transitions such as “By contrast” when comparing sectors, and ensure each paragraph finishes its point before moving on.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “unemployed,” “salary range,” and “government employees,” so the main information is generally understandable. There is also some attempt to vary expressions for employment and study. However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural phrases reduce accuracy, including “ilustrates,” “full tim employment,” “postgarde,” and “private sectotrs.” “Worked in the highest paying sectors” is also not quite precise, since the table reports salary distributions by employment type rather than ranking sectors overall. Aim for accurate forms such as “full-time employment” and “postgraduate study,” and use consistent labels from the table, such as “freelance consultants” and “the government sector.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “The maximum salary, that was beyond 100,000 dollars…” and a contrast introduced by “while.” Most of the intended meaning can be followed, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “table provide” needs subject–verb agreement and an article (“the table provides”), while “students did full-time work” is an awkwardly formed clause. The final sentence is incomplete, and punctuation around clauses is inconsistent. Practise building complete comparisons with parallel structures, for example, “The proportion was 40% among freelance consultants, compared with 50% in government.” Check articles, agreement, and sentence endings during revision.
