Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the two visuals and report several figures accurately, including the 52% in full-time work and the salary distributions for all three employment types. However, the response mainly lists data rather than summarising the main features. It gives no clear overview—for example, that full-time work was the most common destination, while the largest salary band differed by sector. More importantly, the salary percentages are repeatedly described as increases “in” particular years, although the table shows the proportions of workers in salary bands after five years, not annual salary growth. This misinterpretation limits how fully the task is addressed. Focus on the key contrasts and describe the table as salary-band distributions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence: it first discusses graduate destinations and then moves to salaries, so the reader can recognise the two parts of the task. However, there is little overall progression within either section. The destination figures are crowded into one long sentence, while the salary information is presented as three repetitive lists. Connectors and referencing are limited, and phrases such as “next year” and “final year” create an unclear sequence that is not shown in the table. Use separate, purposeful paragraphs, add an overview, and organise comparisons by the most important similarities and differences rather than repeating the same pattern for each job type.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “full time work,” “unemployed,” “freelance consultants,” and “government sector,” which makes the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices are inaccurate for describing the visuals. “Increse” and “addition” suggest changes over time, whereas the table reports salary bands; “get” is also repeated and imprecise. There are noticeable spelling errors, including “Anyhropology,” “unempolyed,” “counsaltants,” and “Goverment,” which reduce clarity and control. Build a small set of accurate chart-description terms, such as “accounted for,” “salary bracket,” and “proportion,” and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most of the response relies on short, simple statements or lists, with little variety in sentence structure. There are frequent errors in agreement and sentence formation, as in “The chart illustrate” and “The 52% is full time work,” and the opening sentence is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined without clear punctuation. The salary descriptions also use inconsistent grammatical patterns, such as “at 2nd year they get” and “in 4 year they get.” These errors sometimes make relationships between figures unclear. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete comparison sentences; for example, state that a given percentage of graduates “were employed” in a sector or “earned” within a salary band.
