Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You report several key figures accurately, including 52% in full-time work and the salary distributions for government and private-sector employees. However, the response has no clear overview of the main patterns, and the final sentence, “Different students earned differently in different sectors,” does not identify a meaningful comparison. There is also a major misreading: freelance consultants’ 5%, 15%, 40% and 40% are presented as earnings, but the first figure is incorrectly described as the share earning $25,000–$49,000; the table actually shows 5% in that band. More seriously, “$1000000 per month” changes the top salary band of $100,000+ into a million-dollar monthly salary. Include a concise overview and report the table’s categories and figures precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response is arranged in two clear sections: the first describes graduate destinations, and the second turns to salaries. This gives the reader a generally coherent route through the two visuals, and phrases such as “There is a table given below” signal the change of focus. However, the information is mostly presented as a sequence of figures rather than grouped around the most important comparisons. The opening does not establish an overview, while the closing statement is too general to bring the salary comparisons together. Some linking is also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “and” and “students.” Group related figures and add an overview that highlights the dominant destination and the higher salary proportions in government and freelance work.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “unemployed,” “post-graduate studies,” “freelance,” and “salary ranges,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, word choice and collocation are often awkward or imprecise: “got the job for full-time work,” “freelance students,” and “not known us” do not express the intended categories naturally. “$1000000 per month” is also an inaccurate expression of the table’s $100,000+ band, not merely a stylistic issue. Spelling errors such as “betwwen” and repeated wording such as “students” limit precision. Use standard chart language such as “were employed full-time,” “freelance consultants,” and “the figure is not known,” and check currency figures carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and most of the figures can be followed despite grammatical problems. However, the range is limited, and errors recur in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation. For example, “The chart illustrates the comparison among different students of a university that what they did” has an awkward, faulty clause structure; “8% of the students is not known us” has incorrect agreement and sentence patterning; and “15% percent students” lacks a natural grammatical form. Commas are often missing after sentence openings, as in “First of all ,it tells.” Practise concise comparative structures, such as “The largest proportion worked full-time,” and check subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries.
