Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You include figures from both the destination chart and the salary table, and most salary percentages are reported accurately. However, the response mainly lists data rather than summarising the main features. It gives no clear overview of the graduate destinations or salary patterns, and the final statement that the destinations are “different from theie salaries” does not explain a meaningful comparison. There is also a factual error: 8% continued to full-time postgraduate study, not “full-time work.” The salary bands are described repeatedly, but the key comparisons—for example, government employees having the largest share earning $100,000 or more, while private-company employees are concentrated more in the $50,000–74,999 band—are not highlighted. A concise overview and accurate selection of the most notable contrasts would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response contains relevant information from both visuals, but it is not arranged into a clear report. It begins with a brief introduction, then gives three long, repetitive salary descriptions before adding the destination figures near the end. There is no distinct overview to guide the reader, and the final sentence does not provide a clear conclusion or link between the two visuals. Repeated patterns such as “there are 5%” and “after 5 years’ work” make the progression mechanical. Organise the response into an introduction, an overview, and focused detail paragraphs—for example, one for destinations and one comparing salary distributions. Use linking phrases to show contrasts and avoid repeating the same sentence frame.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to identify the main categories and salary ranges, using terms such as “freelance consultants,” “government sectors,” and “private companies.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, including “unknowned,” “same university,” and “there are 5% those anthropology graduates.” Spelling errors such as “employements,” “antropplogy,” and “anthropopogy” also make the writing less clear and reduce precision. The repeated use of “will earn” is not well suited to describing a table of reported salary bands. Aim for concise reporting language and accurate category names, such as “the proportion,” “earned,” and “salary bracket.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences to report several figures, but the response relies heavily on repeated simple patterns, and errors are frequent enough to make parts difficult to read. For example, “In Government sectors there are 5% those…” lacks a grammatical structure after the percentage, while “the destination of Anthropology graduates are” has subject–verb disagreement. The sentence listing destinations also incorrectly says “8% full-time work,” creating confusion about the category. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, with several sentences running together. Practise forming clear comparison sentences, such as “The largest proportion entered full-time work, at 52%, while 12% were unemployed,” and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries when editing.
