Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main destination clearly: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, and you note unemployment and the 8% whose destination is unknown. However, the overview misidentifies the smallest group: it is full-time postgraduate study at 8%, not part-time work combined with study at 5%. The salary discussion is particularly underdeveloped: it gives one accurate figure for government employees earning over $100,000, but the private-company comparison is inaccurate—the largest group there earns $50,000–$74,999 (35%), not a quarter. You also omit the salary patterns for freelance consultants and most other bands. Select the key contrasts across both visuals and report them accurately to make the summary more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on graduate destinations and a final paragraph on salaries. This makes the information easy to locate, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Moreover” and “Regarding” help signal shifts. The progression is not fully effective, however, because the overview combines two separate comparisons in a somewhat unclear sentence, and the salary paragraph ends after only two figures, leaving that visual insufficiently integrated. Some links, such as “in addition,” connect details without clarifying their relationship. To strengthen the organisation, group related figures into meaningful comparisons and ensure each body paragraph develops its visual rather than stopping abruptly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “unemployed,” “government sector” and “salary,” and make an effort to vary expressions for percentages. However, several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “catogaries,” “contiuing,” “arround” and “employe's.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural: “the minimum percentage is allocated towards” and “earning sufficiently” do not clearly describe the chart data. “Discontinued their education” is not supported by the chart, which only identifies part-time workers. Aim for accurate, conventional reporting language such as “accounted for,” “earned” and “salary band,” and check spelling and apostrophe use carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including a comparison with “while” and a sentence beginning “Regarding the salaries…”. Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and agreement recur. For example, “the proportion … dominates” is awkwardly formed, while “government sector's has” uses an incorrect possessive structure. In “50% percent of those who work … earn,” the percentage expression is redundant, and “a quarter … earn” has a subject–verb agreement problem. There are also inconsistent apostrophe forms in plural nouns. Practise building accurate comparison sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and proofread agreement, articles and punctuation before submitting.
