Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You include figures from both the destination chart and the salary table, so the response is relevant to the task. However, the main features are not accurately or clearly reported. Most importantly, the government-sector and private-company salary distributions are misrepresented: the government figures are 5%, 15%, 30% and 50%, while the private-company figures are 10%, 35%, 25% and 30%. You instead repeat the freelance figures for both. The overview is also missing; the opening merely introduces the chart, and the closing calls it a “simple and consice overview” without identifying any key pattern. To improve, give a clear summary of the largest destination category and the broad salary contrasts, then select accurate supporting figures.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response contains relevant information, but it is not arranged coherently enough for the reader to follow the main comparisons. It begins with a general introduction, then lists destination figures in a long, loosely punctuated sequence, before repeating a similar sentence pattern for each employment sector. There is no clear overview paragraph or purposeful grouping of the chart and table. Some links between ideas are also unclear, as in “another 8% of them are working full time and studying,” which does not clearly identify the category. Use separate paragraphs for the destination chart and salary table, and organise each around a main feature followed by selected details. This would create a clearer progression rather than a list of figures.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is sufficient to identify the main topics, including “unemployed,” “freelance,” “government sectors” and “salary ranges.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “doing” and “having” used repeatedly to describe different situations. Several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “students data is not found yet” for the not-known category and “salary income.” Spelling errors, including “Antrhropolgy,” “gradutes,” “Comapnies” and “consice,” also reduce precision. Aim for concise chart language such as “were employed,” “the figure was unknown,” and “earned salaries of.” More accurate vocabulary would help distinguish the categories and make the comparisons easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, and frequent errors in sentence formation and punctuation make several statements difficult to read. For example, “The gradutes who are freelance 5% of them having salary ranges…” is not a complete, well-formed sentence; use a structure such as “Among freelance consultants, 5% earned…”. There are also problems with articles, agreement and verb forms, as in “some of them are doing freelancing” and “5% of them having.” Long sequences are joined with commas or run together, particularly in the destination figures. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use accurate past-tense reporting forms. Varying sentence structures while checking punctuation would improve control and clarity.
