Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main destination pattern accurately: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, and combining part-time work with postgraduate study is the smallest at 5%. You also report several destination figures correctly. However, the overview of the salary table is unclear and partly inaccurate: government employment has the highest share in the $100,000+ band (50%), but freelance consultants have the same share as government in the $75,000–99,999 band (40%). The statement that freelance and government salaries “stay constant” from $25,000 to $74,999 is misleading, since the two bands have different percentages. The response gives figures but does not clearly summarise the main salary comparisons. A clearer overview and more precise reporting of the table would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it begins with an introduction, then discusses graduate destinations, and finally turns to salaries. This gives the reader a basic sense of the two visuals. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, particularly in the salary section, where several figures are listed without clearly linking each percentage to its salary band and employment type. Connectors such as “also,” “whereas,” and “while” are used, but some links are awkward or do not clarify the comparison. The opening overview also combines the two visuals in a confusing sentence. Use separate, clearly focused paragraphs and organise the table by either salary band or employment sector, with explicit comparisons, to improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “destination,” “full-time work,” “unemployed,” “freelance consultants,” and “government sector.” This shows an attempt to describe both visuals. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the meaning less clear, such as “the chat” for the chart, “anthropologies salaries,” and “stays constant” for percentages that vary. Spelling errors, including “cource,” “sowing,” “fraduates,” and “thre,” are noticeable and reduce precision. Some phrases are also repetitive, particularly repeated uses of “which” and “with.” Build a bank of accurate chart language such as “accounted for,” “salary band,” and “the proportion earning,” and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer structures, for example, “The destination of anthropology graduates full time work is more than half, whereas…” This shows an effort to compare information, but sentence control is inconsistent and many sentences contain errors that make the relationships between ideas hard to understand. Examples include “The salaries … are It is shown more,” “full-time workes are consists of 52 percent,” and “in which it also have four different salary types.” These show problems with sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation. Most sentences rely on basic patterns, and the longer attempts are often faulty. Practise writing one clear comparison per sentence, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
