Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover both the graduate destinations and the salary table, and you identify the largest destination group correctly: 52% entered full-time work. However, several salary figures are combined or reported inaccurately. For example, government salaries of $75,000–$99,999 account for 30%, but the response says 30% earn $75,000–$99,999 and then describes 20% as earning $25,000–$75,000, which merges two separate bands. Freelance consultants’ 80% earning above $75,000 is accurate, but the table also shows that 40% earn $100,000 or more. The overview is vague and evaluative (“doing great work”) rather than highlighting the main patterns. Select key comparisons and report the salary bands precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: destinations are discussed first, followed by salaries, with an overview at the end. This makes the two parts of the visual easy to distinguish, and transitions such as “Moving onto” and “Moving further” help signal the shift. To strengthen progression, group related figures more systematically and compare categories directly rather than listing them in a loose sequence. The salary paragraph, for instance, moves from government to freelance and then private employment without a concise comparison of their highest salary bands. Some linking phrases are also repetitive or mechanical. A sharper overview near the beginning, followed by focused paragraphs, would make the organisation more purposeful and cohesive.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant terms, including “full-time work,” “postgrad study,” “salary range,” and “government sector,” so the reader can generally understand the topic. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated or imprecise expressions such as “having the salary” and “more than one lakh dollars.” Several word forms and spellings are inaccurate, including “Anthropolgy” and “antrhropolgist,” while phrases such as “doing great work” are informal and do not describe the data objectively. Aim for precise reporting language and accurate collocations, such as “earned,” “accounted for,” and “salary band.” This would make the comparisons clearer and more appropriate to an academic chart summary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

There are attempts at complex sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. For example, “The given charts illustrates” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “the table under that shows that how much salaries” uses an awkward clause structure. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical connection between the chart and table. Some sentences are understandable, such as “The 15% of them are doing partime work,” but the repeated “of them” construction limits variety and accuracy. Practise concise sentence patterns for describing proportions, and check agreement and clause structure when combining information.
