Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You report the main destinations and include several accurate figures, such as 52% in full-time work, 15% in part-time work, and 12% unemployed. You also identify the government sector as having the largest share earning over $100,000. However, the response has no clear overall summary comparing the two visuals, and the salary discussion is selective and sometimes unclear. For example, you mention the highest salary band and the $75,000–$99,999 band, but give little account of the full distribution across employment types. The statement that private-company workers are highest in the $25,000–$49,999 band is inaccurate: their largest share is in the $50,000–$74,999 band, at 35%. A concise overview and more accurate comparisons would strengthen coverage.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response follows a broadly sensible order: it first describes graduates’ destinations and then turns to salaries. Basic linking phrases such as “Then comes” and “In case of” help signal this movement, and the reader can generally follow the figures. However, the ideas are compressed into two long blocks, with no distinct overview or clear paragraphing to guide the comparison. Some links are mechanical, and references such as “the people” and “the employees” do not always make clear which group is being discussed. Organise the response into an introduction, an overview, and separate detail paragraphs, and use explicit comparisons between salary bands and employment sectors to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full time work,” “postgraduate study,” “unemployed,” “government sector,” and “private companies,” so the topic is usually understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “highest ration,” “more high salaries,” and “linked with private companies.” “Anthropologist” is also used where the chart refers to graduates or employees, and “undergraduate people” is not a natural description of graduates who have completed their degree. These choices sometimes make the meaning less precise. Use standard chart language such as “proportion,” “earned,” and “were employed by,” and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate many figures through simple statements, and some sentence patterns are understandable, for example, “12 percent people remain unemployed and 8 percent are unknown.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence formation, articles, agreement, and punctuation occur often enough to make parts difficult to read. Examples include “The 52 percent undergraduate people get full time job,” which lacks natural article and noun structure, and “The people who are getting salaries between 75thousand to 100,000 dollars,” which is an incomplete sentence and uses an incorrect comparison pattern. Several sentences also run together without spaces after full stops. Practise complete, controlled sentences and use patterns such as “52% of graduates entered full-time work” and “between $75,000 and $99,999.”
