Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main destination pattern accurately: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, while the combined part-time work and postgraduate study group is smallest at 5%. You also include an overview and refer to all three employment sectors in the salary table. However, the salary comparisons are incomplete and sometimes unclear: saying government salaries are “most” does not explain that 50% earn $100,000 or more, and the claim that private-company employees have the “least salaries” overlooks that their largest group is in the $50,000–74,999 band (35%). Report the salary bands alongside the percentages and compare the distributions more precisely to develop the task coverage.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and separate paragraphs for the chart and table. This helps the reader distinguish the two sources of information. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several comparisons are joined mechanically with “furthermore,” “at the last” and “because.” The overview also makes broad claims that are not clearly linked to the detailed figures that follow. Use clearer topic sentences and organise each data paragraph from the largest or most notable feature to the remaining comparisons. More accurate linking and reference would make the relationships between figures easier to understand.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “full-time workers,” “government sector” and “freelance consultants,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “pays,” “after passing out,” “on the second number” and “maximum salariy.” Repeated use of “highest,” “percentage” and “workers” also makes the description less precise. Spelling errors such as “Anthroplogy,” “instetuate,” “salsries” and “postgard” are noticeable and can slow the reader. Build a more accurate set of chart-description phrases and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic comparison structures, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to process. For example, “Full-time workers have highest percentage anmost 52% on the second number are part time worker 15%” joins several clauses without clear punctuation or grammatical links. Articles and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “have highest percentage” and “part time worker 15%.” The final sentence beginning “at the last private companies workers” similarly lacks a clear sentence structure. Practise writing shorter, complete comparisons first, then combine them with accurate conjunctions and punctuation.
