Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You report most of the figures accurately, including the 52% in full-time work and the salary distributions for all three employment types. However, the response mainly lists data rather than summarising the main features: it gives no clear overview, such as full-time work being the largest destination or government employees having the highest share in the top salary band. Comparisons between categories are also limited, and the salary bands are referred to vaguely as “second category” and “around 1 lac category.” The response is only 144 words, below the required 150, which further limits its development. Add a concise overview and explain the most important contrasts rather than simply repeating each figure.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The information is presented in a broadly sensible order: you first describe graduate destinations and then move to the salary table. This helps the reader identify which visual each set of figures refers to. However, the response has no paragraph breaks, and the repeated pattern of listing percentages gives it little progression beyond the sequence of the chart and table. Linking is also limited; phrases such as “and” and “according to diagram” do not clearly show comparisons or relationships. Group the response into an introduction, an overview, and two focused detail paragraphs. Use connectors such as “by contrast” or “whereas” to make comparisons explicit and reduce the list-like effect.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “graduates,” “full time work,” “unemployed,” “freelance consultants,” and “salaries,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and some wording is imprecise or unnatural. “Category of information in percentage or numbers” does not clearly introduce the visuals, while “second category” and “third category” make the salary bands difficult to identify. There are also word-form and spelling problems, such as “elucidate” used in an unsuitable construction and “postgred.” Use precise terms for the salary ranges and vary reporting language with expressions such as “accounted for,” “the largest proportion,” and “earned.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most of the response uses short, simple statements, and the figures can usually be followed. However, sentence structures are very limited, and several sentences are incomplete or have faulty grammatical patterns. For example, “The chart elucidate information about Anthropology graduates did after…” lacks a correct verb structure, and “Category of information in percentage or numbers” is a fragment. Agreement is also inconsistent in “Unemployed students is 12%,” while missing articles and awkward sentence construction occur elsewhere. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use comparison clauses to combine related figures. More accurate control of these basic patterns is needed for the meaning to read smoothly.
