Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You cover both the graduate destinations and the salary table, and several figures are accurate: full-time work is identified as the largest destination at 52%, while part-time work is 15% and the combined part-time study category is 5%. However, the response only partially reports the main features. It does not give a clear overall summary of the salary pattern, and the description of private-company salaries is confusing: the figures are 10%, 35%, 25% and 30% across the four bands, not a clear sequence of increases and decreases as stated. The government and freelance figures are also only partly explained. A concise overview comparing the destination chart with the salary distributions, followed by accurate key comparisons, would make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organisation: it begins with the chart, then discusses destinations, and moves to the salary table. This gives the reader a basic sense of the two sources of information. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several sentences repeat introductory information rather than developing comparisons. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand” are used, but the contrast they signal is not always clear or useful. The salary paragraph, in particular, presents figures in a confusing order, making the comparison difficult to follow. Use a clear overview paragraph, then separate paragraphs for destinations and salaries, grouping related figures and using precise references such as “the highest salary band” to guide the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “full time work,” “postgraduate study,” “freelance consultants,” and “government sector,” so the topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the report less clear, including “univeristy,” “slaries,” “emplyment,” and “unemplyment.” Phrases such as “different types of time work” and “salary start” are not natural collocations, while “decrease” and “increase” are used imprecisely to describe separate salary-band percentages. Aim for accurate terms such as “employment category,” “salary band,” and “accounted for,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you describe comparisons without relying on vague or repetitive wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts a few longer structures, for example, “The students who have full time postgraduate study and who has not know are the same percentage,” but these attempts contain several errors in agreement and verb form. Other examples include “The chart illustrate,” “the table show,” and “full time work significantly higher 52%,” where subject–verb agreement or a required verb is missing. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “after 5 year” and the run-on construction around “On the other hand,Government sector.” Most sentences are simple, and the more complex attempts are often faulty, which sometimes makes relationships between figures unclear. Practise accurate simple comparisons first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement and sentence boundaries.
