Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the given chart it illustrated the destination of Anthropology graduates and their salary after graduation.
In the given pie chart we can observe that most of the graduates are working as full-time and the percentage is 52%. After that 15% of them doing part-time work. 8% of the graduate is doing full time postgrad study and only 5% of the graduates are doing both part time work and postgrad study. The status of the rest 8% is unknown.
And from the table we can see that, 40% of the Freelance consultants earn more than $75000. 50% of the graduates wokring in the government sector earns more than $100,000. For 5% from both types of employment earns less than $50,000. For the private companies 30% of the graduate cross the $100,000 salary range. Where 10% of the praviate employee gets less than $50,000.
So, overall we can see that, Majority of the graduates are doing full-time work while the least number is doing both part time and postgrad study. And Graduates who are working as Freelance consults and Government sector are usually getting higher salary.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both the graduate destinations and the salary table, and your overview correctly identifies full-time work as the largest destination and combined part-time work and study as the smallest. Several figures are accurate, including 52%, 15%, 8%, and the 30% of private-company employees earning $100,000 or more. However, some important information is omitted or unclear: you do not report the 12% who were unemployed, and “40% of the Freelance consultants earn more than $75000” misrepresents the table, where 40% earn $75,000–$99,999 and another 40% earn $100,000 or more. The comparison of salary bands could be more precise, and the overview’s claim that consultants and government employees “usually” earn higher salaries is broad. Select and compare the main figures more accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: it first describes the pie chart, then the salary table, and ends with a summary. This makes the two parts of the task easy to follow, and linking phrases such as “After that” and “And from the table” help signal progression. The overview is also placed at the end, though an opening overview would make the main patterns clearer from the outset. Some connections are mechanical or imprecise, particularly “So, overall we can see that,” and the repeated “And” at the start of sentences. The reference in “For 5% from both types of employment” is unclear. Use more precise links and make comparisons flow directly from one salary category to another.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “full-time work,” “postgrad study,” “salary range,” and “government sector,” so the main information is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “cross the $100,000 salary range,” although this is not a natural collocation. Some word choices and spelling errors reduce precision: “Freelance consults” is not the correct form for the occupation, and “praviate” and “wokring” are misspelled. “Earn more than $75000” is also too broad for the table’s separate salary bands. Aim for accurate terms such as “earn,” “fall into a salary band,” and “freelance consultants,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mixture of simple sentences and some longer structures, and most of the message remains understandable. However, there are some recurring errors in sentence construction and agreement. “In the given chart it illustrated” has an incorrect structure; use “The chart illustrates.” In “most of the graduates are working as full-time,” the phrase needs a noun or a different construction, such as “are working full-time.” Agreement is also inconsistent in “50% of the graduates … earns” and “10% of the private employee gets.” The sentence beginning “For 5% from both types of employment” is incomplete, while commas after “see that” are unnecessary. Practise accurate percentage constructions and vary sentence patterns while keeping clauses complete.
