Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main destination pattern accurately: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, and you also report part-time work at 15%, unemployment at 12%, and full-time postgraduate study at 8%. The overview notes that government and freelance workers have the strongest salary outcomes, which is broadly supported by the table. However, coverage is uneven: the 5% combining part-time work with postgraduate study and the 8% whose destination is unknown are omitted, and the private-sector salary profile is only partly described. The phrase “highest salary” is also imprecise, since the top salary band is most common in government, while freelance consultants are equally split between the top two bands. Include the missing categories and make comparisons more exact.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and separate paragraphs for the chart and table. This gives the reader a generally coherent route through the information. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “According to the pie chart,” and “Meanwhile” help signal shifts, although some are used mechanically or with awkward punctuation, as in “While, 15%...” and “However, 30%...”. The table paragraph would be clearer if its comparisons followed a consistent order across the three employment sectors, rather than moving between salary bands and sectors. Use complete, clearly separated sentences and connect related figures directly; this would make the progression smoother and the comparisons easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “full time,” “unemployed,” “salary,” and “government sector,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “employement,” “greduate,” “experiance,” and “counsltants” recur or appear in key phrases. Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “earning money” and “full time employement”; more precise collocations would be “earning” or “received a salary” and “full-time employment.” Check spelling carefully and use accurate terms for each category, especially “freelance consultants.” A wider range of comparison language, such as “accounted for” and “the largest proportion,” would also help describe the data more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences using contrast, for example, “while” and “however,” but control is inconsistent. Errors include missing articles and subjects (“majority of greduates are work”), incorrect verb forms (“15% greduates works”), and incomplete or poorly joined sentences (“Overall, ... employment. and ...”). Punctuation and spacing also make some sentence boundaries unclear, as in “Overall, majority” and “while, table.” These problems sometimes make the relationships between ideas harder to follow, although the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Practise forming accurate comparison sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, capitalization and punctuation before finishing.
