Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the main destination clearly: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, and you report the other graduate destinations with figures that match the chart. However, the task is only partly addressed because the salary table is reduced to a single comparison of the highest salary-band percentages. The figures you give—50% for government, 40% for freelance consultants and 30% for private companies—are accurate, but you do not explain that these refer to the $100,000+ band or compare the lower salary bands. The overview also focuses only on graduate destinations, rather than summarising the key salary pattern. Include a concise overview of both visuals and select a few meaningful comparisons from the table.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic, understandable structure: an introduction, a general statement, details about destinations, and a final paragraph on salaries. This helps the reader follow the broad topic. However, progression is limited by the list-like sequence of figures and repetitive linking, such as “And on the second number” and “And the rest.” The salary paragraph is especially brief and does not connect its percentages clearly to the salary categories. Use clearer grouping—for example, discuss the graduate destinations together, then compare the salary bands—and use precise references such as “the proportion earning $100,000 or more.” This would make the organisation more coherent and the relationships between figures easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full time work,” “postgrad study,” “unemployment,” and “salaries,” so the subject remains understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, including “greater ratio,” “on the second number,” and “involved in full time work.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “clearley,” “deatails,” and “comapred.” These choices make the report less precise and sometimes slow the reader. Aim for standard chart language and accurate collocations, such as “accounted for,” “the second-largest proportion,” and “earned.” Check spelling carefully and avoid repeating “graduates” when a clear reference such as “this group” is available.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Most of your sentences communicate a basic comparison, and you attempt some longer structures, such as “Anthropology graduates who have greater ratio involved in full time work is 52%.” However, this sentence has problems with clause structure and subject–verb agreement, and similar errors occur throughout. The opening phrase “illustrates the about the graduates what they did” is not grammatically formed, while “Unemployment were” has incorrect agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention. Use simpler, controlled patterns first—for example, “Full-time work was the most common destination, at 52%”—then add variety with accurate comparison clauses. More consistent control of sentence structure, agreement, and punctuation would improve clarity.
