Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the graduate destinations and the salary table, and several key figures are accurate: full-time work is 52%, part-time work is 15%, and the government-sector figure in the highest salary band is 50%. You also identify the broad contrast between public or freelance work and private companies. However, some comparisons are unclear or incomplete. Calling unemployment the “lowest” category is inaccurate: it is 12%, while part-time work plus postgraduate study is the smallest at 5%. The overview also says graduates mainly entered full-time and part-time jobs, but does not clearly summarise the salary pattern across all three sectors. Select the most important contrasts and state them precisely, including that 80% of government employees and freelance consultants earn at least $75,000, compared with 55% in private companies.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable sequence: an introduction, a paragraph on destinations, a paragraph on salaries, and a concluding overview. This gives the information an overall arrangement, and phrases such as “By contrast” and “On the other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the final overview repeats earlier points rather than synthesising them, and the transition “On the other hand” does not clearly signal the move from destinations to salary data. Some references are also difficult to follow, particularly “those who spent their time in postgrad study with part-time work.” Group related figures more deliberately and use clear topic sentences for each chart. This would make the progression more logical and the links less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time work,” “postgrad study,” “government sector,” and “$100,000+,” so the reader can generally understand the subject. However, the range and control are limited by repeated or imprecise expressions such as “ratio,” “spent their time,” and “pays more,” which do not describe the chart data naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “destnation,” “gradutes,” “thier,” and “goveermnet.” These reduce the accuracy and polish of the report. Use standard terms such as “proportion,” “graduates,” “earned,” and “salary band,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you compare the categories without relying on vague wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main message is usually understandable. However, control is inconsistent, especially in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “Full-time work significantly prominent” lacks a finite verb, while “what is the destination … once the complete their undergraduate course” has an unclear clause structure. The sentence beginning “The percentage of of not known…” also contains a repeated word and an awkward construction. Articles and plural forms are sometimes missing or inconsistent, as in “50% graduates” and “a very low portion.” Aim for complete subject–verb sentences, such as “Full-time employment was the most common destination, at 52%.” Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and logical clause structure.
