Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both visuals and give a relevant overview: full-time work is the largest destination, while the combined part-time-work-and-study group is the smallest, and government and freelance workers tend to earn more than private-company employees. Most figures are reported accurately, including the 52%, 15%, 12% and 8% destination shares and the main salary bands. This meets the task well, with some features more fully developed than others. The salary comparison could be more complete: for example, you omit that 40% of private-company employees earned $75,000–$99,999, and the lower salary bands across all three sectors are not compared. Add these details to make the overview and comparisons more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on graduate destinations and a final paragraph on salaries. This makes the two visuals easy to follow, and transitions such as “Overall” and “Regarding salaries” help signal the stages of the report. The progression is generally logical, though some links between ideas are abrupt or unclear. For instance, “Equal proportion of graduates 8% pursued…” is difficult to process, and the final salary comparison moves from the private-company figure of 35% to the share above $100,000 without a smooth contrast. Use clearer sentence connections and ensure each comparison identifies its subject explicitly. This would make cohesion more flexible and less dependent on basic paragraph markers.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “destinations,” “accounted for,” “proportion,” “unemployed,” and “salary.” These choices allow you to describe the main categories and comparisons, and terms such as “in contrast” help express differences. Some less natural word choices and collocations reduce precision, however: “freelancer sector” and “freelancer consultant” are not the usual forms, while “out come that were not known” is unclear. “Private companies offered significantly lower salaries” also overstates the comparison, since 30% in that sector still earned over $100,000. Aim for accurate category labels such as “freelance consultants” and “the private sector,” and choose wording that describes the figures without exaggerating them.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex forms, including the opening contrast with “While” and the comparison beginning “In contrast.” The main information is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors remain and occasionally make a sentence difficult to follow. Examples include “the majority graduates,” “After five year anthropologist who working,” and “with 35% of employees earned,” which show problems with articles, plural forms and verb patterns. The opening “While” clause is also left as a sentence fragment rather than joined to a main clause. Check subject–verb structure and tense, and make sure each sentence has a complete independent clause. More consistent control of these patterns would strengthen the range you are already attempting.
