Student answer (Band 5.5)

The given pie chart illustrates the destination of Anthropology graduates from one university after completing their degree course. The table below pie chart give us the information about salaries of anthropologists in job place after five years in three different types of employment.

After graduation 52% students got full-time job. While 8% students went for full-time postgradute studies.12% graduates were unemployed and 8% students destination were not known.15% students were doing part-time job. There are 5% graduates who were doing part time work+postgraduate studies.

So, graduates who are doing full-time jobs were highest in proportion. Moreover, students who are doing part-time work+postgraduate studies were lowest in proportion.

Additionally, Anthropolgy graduates after 5 years of work got there salaries in different percentage level.5% of freelance consultants got salary was $25,000-49,999,while 15% got $50,000-74,999 , 40% of freelance consultants got their income range from $75,000- 99,999 and another 40% got more than $100,000.

5% graduates from government sector obtain income from $25,000-49,999. Moreover, 15,30,50% graduates acquired their salaries range from $50,000 to more than $100,000.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You report the main destinations and include the salary bands for all three employment types, with many figures accurately stated. The clearest overview is that full-time work was the most common destination and combined part-time work and postgraduate study the least common. However, the salary overview is unclear or inaccurate: “students getting more income from government sector while least from private companies” does not specify that government employees had the largest share in the top salary band, while private-company employees were more concentrated in the $50,000–$74,999 band. “Freelancer consultants was getting medium salaries” is also unsupported, since 80% earned at least $75,000. Make the key comparisons explicit and avoid conclusions that do not follow from the table.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable sequence: it introduces the visuals, describes graduate destinations, and then turns to salaries. Paragraph breaks and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” help signal movement between points. However, progression within the salary section is often list-like, and the repeated “So” and “Moreover” do not always show a precise relationship between ideas. The final comparisons are difficult to follow, particularly “students getting more income from government sector while least from private companies,” because the comparison is not tied to a specific salary band. Group the salary data by meaningful contrasts—for example, the highest-income shares across sectors—and use clear references to the relevant groups.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time,” “unemployed,” “freelance consultants,” and “income range,” so the reader can generally identify the categories being discussed. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “destination were not known,” “got salary was,” and “got their salaries range.” There are also spelling errors in “Anthropolgy” and “postgradute,” and “students” is sometimes used where “graduates” or “employees” would be more precise. Aim for concise reporting language and accurate collocations, such as “earned,” “salary band,” and “the proportion of graduates.” This would make the comparisons clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response communicates the broad information, but frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “The table below pie chart give us the information” has faulty word order and subject–verb agreement, while “5% of freelance consultants got salary was…” combines incompatible verb patterns. Several sentences run together without spaces after full stops, as in “job. While,” and the government-sector sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure. Most reporting is built from short, repetitive statements, with limited control of complex forms. Practise forming accurate comparison sentences and checking each clause for a clear subject and verb; for example, “Half of government employees earned $100,000 or more.”
