Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main destination clearly: full-time work accounts for 52%, and you note that part-time work combined with postgraduate study is the smallest category at 5%. The overview also recognises that high salaries are common after five years. However, the salary summary is only partly developed: “most of them have more than $100,000” is too broad, since the table separates three employment types and only government employees have a majority in the top bracket. You report useful figures for freelance consultants, government workers and private-company employees, but omit other salary bands that would make the comparisons more complete. Also, “students are favoured towards” work suggests preference, which the chart does not establish; describe the destinations as outcomes instead.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on graduate destinations and a final paragraph on salaries. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the two visuals. Some linking is effective, such as “Meanwhile” and “Furthermore,” but connections can feel mechanical or unclear. For example, “followed up by part-time work that is composed of 15% from this there is vast difference” combines several ideas without clear punctuation or a precise relationship. The overview also groups part-time work and postgraduate study as the least popular, although only the combined category is the smallest. To strengthen progression, organise each body paragraph around a clear comparison and use linking phrases only where they accurately show contrast or sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “undergraduate degree course,” “salary range,” “unemployed” and “freelance consultants,” so the main information is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “illustrates” and “dominate.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “favoured towards” implies preference, “students” is less precise than “graduates” in this context, and “confused” is not supported by the “not known” category. Spelling and form errors such as “variours,” “freelancers” written as “free lancers,” and “employee” where a plural is needed also reduce precision. Aim for standard chart-reporting collocations and neutral descriptions of what the data shows.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a contrast with “whereas” and a relative clause in “which is greatest portion in chart.” Meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include “after 5 years’ of work,” where the possessive form is unnecessary, and “part-time work with postgrad study are only preferred,” where the subject and verb do not agree. The sentence beginning “followed up by part-time work” runs several clauses together, and punctuation is missing before “12%.” Articles are also omitted in phrases such as “greatest portion in chart.” Check agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, and revise long sentences into clearly controlled clauses.
