Student answer (Band 5.0)
In 20th centery parents are full aware of their childerns so they fully support them and give them confidence that they needed and often motivate them that you can achieve anything or everthing if you workhard .
In recent years childerns are doing there best in all aspects of thier life because they gain that confidence from their parents. I believe when parents encoruge thier childrens they become more focus about their goals and thats benefits them in every filed of there life .because of this support there mind strat thing out of the box. they start thing different unique ideas and how they can achieve them .when mind is postive and motivated hardwork strated accordingly and urag of achieving the desire goal become more important. there is a saying "gold burn in fire and then become use full." parents need to keep an eye on there childern but that doesn't mean to make them unconfortable but to keep them safe from the harsh socity .and the other hand just keep telling them that if you fail that does'nt mean you can't do anything or every thing is finish NO this is the part of life just keep going and your har work will be paid off .
In my oppinine giveing childern there space in importand and this has no disadvantage infact this means trusting the cildrens and miking them the good citizen of the socity who knows that if i want to achieve that goal then i have to work harder then ever.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of parental encouragement, but it fails to adequately explore the disadvantages, which is a requirement of the task. The ideas are largely repetitive, focusing almost exclusively on the positive aspects of motivation. The position is clear, but the development is limited and lacks depth. To improve, you must ensure that both sides of the argument—advantages and disadvantages—are given balanced attention. For instance, you could discuss how unrealistic expectations might lead to disappointment or pressure if a child fails despite their best efforts. The current response is too one-sided to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is minimal or misused. For example, the phrase 'and the other hand' is used incorrectly to introduce a new point, and the connection between the metaphor of 'gold burning in fire' and the rest of the paragraph is unclear. The referencing is also inconsistent, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and there are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'centery' for century, 'childerns' for children, 'encoruge' for encourage, and 'socity' for society. These errors are distracting and occasionally impede the reader's understanding. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on simple, repetitive words like 'good', 'support', and 'work'. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items, and pay closer attention to accurate spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of the message. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, pluralization (e.g., 'childerns'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, such as 'because of this support there mind strat thing out of the box.' Punctuation is also problematic, with missing or misplaced commas and periods. While there is an attempt to use complex ideas, the lack of control over basic grammar prevents the use of complex structures from being effective. Focusing on sentence boundary awareness and basic grammatical accuracy is essential.
