Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowdays, the numbers of people are being increasing who are leaving rural areas and moving towards to the urban centres. However, the population of villages and countryside area is decling. I believe this is largely negative development seeing it creates pressure on the cities and reduce the development of rural communities.
Comencing with the most salient reason that why, overpopulation puts pressure on public services. When a large number of people move towards the urbanisation the demand of housing, transportation, healthcare and education are being risen significantly. As a result, cities may experience traffic congestion, air pollution and shortage of basic items. Moreover, competition for employment become stronger and making it difficult for some masses to find suitable jobs. For instance, in major Indian cities such as delhi and mumbai faces growth of populace and contributed towards heavy traffic.
On the other hand, decline in rural communities and agriculture because young generation are leaving villages for higher education and structured life and it led to shortage of agricultural and young skilled workers. Many individuals leave their villages because in cities companies are providing higher salaries, educational facilities and career opportunities. Consequently, fewer workers remain to work in agriculture and maintain local business. This can reduce number of agricultural worker in rural communities and negative impact to the economy. For example, in rural areas agricultre becomes difficult for good production, when young generation shift to urban centres for employment and education.
To conclude, my opion is that the government should take an initative towards rural areas to be developed and build schools, colleges for higher education. Also provide facilities such as healthcare and for jobs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider rural-to-urban migration largely negative, and the conclusion reinforces this by recommending investment in rural areas. You address both consequences named in your argument: pressure on city services and the loss of rural workers. The examples of Delhi and Mumbai and of agricultural production help make the points relevant. However, some ideas are more fully explained than others. The city-pressure paragraph lists housing, transport, healthcare and education, but could explain more precisely how migration strains them; the rural paragraph repeats the worker-shortage point without developing its wider effects. To strengthen the response, extend each main idea with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and make the examples more specific.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion offers a response to the problem. Signposting such as “Moreover,” “Consequently” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the progression. The organisation is generally logical, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. “On the other hand” suggests a contrast, although the second body paragraph adds another negative consequence rather than presenting an opposing view. The opening phrase “Comencing with the most salient reason that why” also makes the transition awkward. Use simpler, more precise links, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point without repeating it—for example, the shortage of rural workers is stated several times.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “public services,” “traffic congestion,” “career opportunities” and “agricultural workers,” which allows you to discuss both urban and rural effects. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “salient reason” and “decline in rural communities.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural: “moving towards to the urban centres,” “the demand … are being risen,” and “negative impact to the economy.” Spelling errors such as “decling,” “Comencing,” “agricultre” and “opion” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations and check spelling carefully; precise, familiar vocabulary is more effective than formal-sounding phrases used incorrectly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses with “As a result” and “Consequently,” and a relative clause in “companies are providing higher salaries.” Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentences difficult to follow. For example, “the numbers of people are being increasing” has an incorrect verb form, while “cities … faces” has subject–verb disagreement. In “competition for employment become stronger and making it difficult,” the verb forms do not fit together. Articles, plurals and sentence construction also need attention, as in “reduce the development of rural communities.” Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, especially in longer sentences.
