Student answer (Band 5.0)
Now days in mostly contries that people of villages now migrated in urban areas because of that the population of rural side is decreasing .In my opionion it has negative and positve both development when the people of countryside moved in cities the population of cities increasing beacause of that due this the more vicheles will be used it would may made the cities polluted and for the living of people who migrated there is new devolpments for making the space residential place for them trees would be cut it will increase erosion and pollution more in cities. But there will be more resourses avaliable for the people of villages in cities they would have good schools, hospital and other services that was not in rural areas.
As we know when population of country side decrease the air quality of and availiablity of space will be more for the people of live there they have plenty of space for agriculture they can afford that areas for less price also. But in villages they dont have many option for study and there is also not essential healthcare in many rural areas that was the negative aspects of living there. In Pakistan it was happened most recentkly in last 10 years and beacause of that there is some positive development made in lahore city but in karachi that thing made things worse
In my opinion both aspect contains negative and positive impact but migrated a lot of people in cities will decrese the positive development in the negavite. So in some extintion that would help but it is not permant thing .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question by presenting both benefits and drawbacks of rural-to-urban migration, and your conclusion indicates that you see the effects as mixed but ultimately more negative. Relevant points include pressure on city transport and trees, alongside better access to schools and healthcare, and you refer to Lahore and Karachi. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says the development is both positive and negative, while the conclusion suggests the negative effects outweigh the positive ones. Several ideas are asserted rather than explained, such as how migration has produced positive development in Lahore or made conditions worse in Karachi. Make your overall judgement explicit from the introduction and develop each example with a clear explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: you move from effects on cities to conditions in rural areas, then give examples from Pakistan and finish with a conclusion. This gives the response a recognisable beginning, middle and end. However, the progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several different points are joined in long sentences, and links such as “because of that” and “but” are repeated or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. For example, the first paragraph shifts from vehicle use and pollution to housing, tree loss and then services without clear separation. Use distinct paragraphs for urban impacts, rural impacts and your judgement, and connect each point with precise transitions and clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “population,” “air quality,” “agriculture,” “erosion” and “healthcare,” so the reader can identify the main subject and several key ideas. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “vicheles,” “resourses,” “devolpments” and “extintion.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “afford that areas for less price” and “decrease the positive development.” Build accuracy with common topic collocations, for example “access to healthcare,” “urban population growth” and “put pressure on public services.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise phrases will make your meaning clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to express cause and effect and to use longer sentences, for example when explaining that increased vehicle use may pollute cities. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, so the reader has to work to identify the intended meaning. Errors include “the population of cities increasing,” “trees would be cut it will increase erosion,” and “when population of country side decrease.” Articles, verb forms, agreement and sentence boundaries need more control. Try writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas with accurate clauses. For instance, separate the point about tree removal from its consequence: “Trees may be cut down to build housing, increasing erosion and pollution.”
