Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many people belong to rural areas are migrated to urban areas all around the world, furthermore their population is falling in the countryside day by day. I partly agree with this statement.
The primary reason is that the people belong to villages have less opportunities regarding education, therefore they have to move to cities for better future. For example, there is primary school in the village that offers only basic education while in cities there are many institutes for middle, secondary as well as higher secondary education. IN addition, it is a right of people to move to urban areas for further studies but their permanent stay there may cause some difficulties such as, economical burden and shortage of living in apartments.
On the other hand, continuous decline of people in rural areas can create a lot of problems. For instance, many old people prefer to stay in countryside whether their children move to cities for earning livelihood or for better life style. This can create loneliness among the elderly people, and they may lead a stressful life. So, it creats negative effect on their mental well-being.
In conclusion, The migration from rural areas to urban areas may have positive as well as negative effects because it effects the rural life, manpower will be decreased and as a result , agricultural activities may effect the people and crops, while if people come back after getting advance knowelge from well known departments ,they can make countryside more progressive by using latest technology. It can help rural areas to grow and meet the challenges of current era.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of rural-to-urban migration. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'economical burden' is mentioned but not fully explained or linked back to the overall argument. While you provide relevant examples, such as the difference in educational facilities, some points in the conclusion—like the suggestion that migrants could return to use 'latest technology'—are introduced too late and are not sufficiently explored. To improve, ensure each main point is fully supported with a clear explanation or example before moving to the next.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'For example', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'furthermore their population is falling' in the first paragraph, which feels disjointed. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear; for example, the phrase 'it effects the rural life' in the conclusion is vague. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the ideas flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'urban areas', 'livelihood', and 'mental well-being'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'knowelge' instead of 'knowledge' and 'creats' instead of 'creates'. Some collocations are also slightly unnatural, such as 'belong to rural areas are migrated'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensure you proofread for common spelling errors, as these minor slips occur frequently enough to be noticeable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and sentence construction. For example, 'Many people belong to rural areas are migrated' is grammatically incorrect; it should be 'Many people from rural areas are migrating'. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage throughout the text. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and checking for subject-verb agreement before moving on to more complex structures.
