Student answer (Band 6.5)
With globalisation, various people are migrating from rural areas to metropolises. As, in modern times every individual wants to attain good level of facilities and they seek further opportunities to lead a healthy and prosperous life ahead. However, there are significant drawbacks that affect people if migration is done at greater level. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons for migration and the environmental challenges that make it more adverse.
One of the key objectives of living their hometown is for better lifestyles. With technological advancement,a variety of amenities are available for residents to live a healthy and prosperous life ahead. Nobody desires to spend their life in an area where the life remain unchanged and it still reflects the style of previous decades. Additionally, small suburbs are do not have any standardised educational institute for youngsters in modern era. Therefore, learners never compromise on their curriculum. Similarly, healthcare facilities are scarce in rural areas. It is believed that, people of quiet suburbs are suffering from serious illness owing to less attention towards treatment of diseases. This has a profound impact on individual's life.
However, there are significant drawbacks of migration. The rise in population often brings congestion in city roads. One of the most devastating problem is traffic congestion. This causes people to arrive late in any place, either workplace or schools. This can negatively affect financial and productivity . Furthermore, a great proportion of citizen can reduce job employments. This results in financial burden. Consecutively, it leads to anxiety and depression among the community.
From my own perspective, migration is imperative for people. It helps individuals to strengthen their financial arises. Thus, it is imperative to to approach certain strategies to mitigate further issues of resettlement. Policy makers have crucial role to improve particular challenges mentioned in above paragraph.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the reasons for migration and the negative consequences. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the reasons for migration (lifestyle, education, healthcare) are clear, the discussion on the negative impacts is less precise, particularly the claim that a 'great proportion of citizen can reduce job employments,' which is logically unclear. The position is generally clear, but the conclusion is slightly repetitive and lacks a strong summary of the main argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more specific examples or logical explanations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'However,' 'Additionally,' and 'Therefore' are used to link ideas. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or the referencing is imprecise, such as the transition between the discussion of job loss and the resulting anxiety. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the reasons for migration from the drawbacks. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that the logical progression between sentences is smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'metropolises,' 'imperative,' and 'prosperous.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'financial arises' (likely meaning 'financial status' or 'financial situation') and 'standardised educational institute' (which is slightly awkward). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score. Expanding your range of collocations and refining word choice will help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'small suburbs are do not have,' 'the life remain unchanged,' and 'a great proportion of citizen.' Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors with comma placement and article usage. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, and try to incorporate more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
