Student answer (Band 7.0)
In the contemporary era, many rural individuals are likely to moving into urban areas for the different reasons so as resulted of this the population of countryside is fall sharply. In my opinion this trend has both advantage and disadvantage, i believe it is a overall positive development.
On the one hand, one of the main reason for relocated to urban areas is the better job opportunities in cities because of cities is a home of multinational companies and business, industries so people can easily find and explore the job that can offer higher salary and great career prospect towards them, As a result of urbanization, people can improve their standard of living and provide a more secure future to their families. For example, graduate can find trouble to find high salary job in village, but relocating to cities can solve this problem.
On the other hand, Another significant benefit of urbanization is provide a high-level of education and better healthcare system. Usually, urban areas have a well equipped school, universities, and hospitals so that increase the quality of human life. Moreover, cities often offer efficient public transport and other modern facilities that make daily life more convenient. Although rural populations may decrease, governments can use technology and improved infrastructure to continue supporting those communities while allowing people to enjoy the advantages of urban living.
In conclusion, although migration from rural areas may create certain challenges, I believe it is a positive development overall because it offers greater employment opportunities and better access to essential public services, ultimately improving people's quality of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position that the trend is a positive development. The ideas are relevant, focusing on job opportunities, education, and healthcare. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive; for instance, the second and third paragraphs both focus on the benefits of urban life without fully exploring the 'negative' side of the countryside population decrease, which the prompt asks you to consider. While you mention that the government can support rural areas, this point is not fully extended. To reach a higher band, ensure you provide a more balanced exploration of the potential downsides of rural depopulation to show a deeper engagement with the complexity of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'so as resulted of this' and 'Another significant benefit of urbanization is provide'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the internal structure of sentences does not rely too heavily on simple conjunctions. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'urbanization', 'multinational companies', and 'essential public services'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation that slightly hinder the precision of your writing, such as 'likely to moving' instead of 'likely to move' and 'graduate can find trouble' instead of 'graduates may struggle'. While you attempt to use more sophisticated language, the inaccuracies prevent the vocabulary from being considered 'flexible' or 'precise'. Focusing on correct word forms and common collocations will help you move into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'cities is a home', 'is provide a high-level', 'graduate can find'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and comma splices. These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text, though they do not typically impede the reader's understanding of your main points. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentence structures are grammatically sound.
