Student answer (Band 5.5)
According to my point of view it contains both positive and negative points
First of all i would like to recall positive points. In positive point if there is less population those people who are living in country side are able to produce more yield and produce more and good growth than the past years which could help us to trade more with at the international level and through this they could able to stable the economy of the country at the international level and provide more facilities to the people of the nation and also through this we could construct more green houses which help us to stable the weather of the nation and also us help us to avoid deforestation which is also a positive point and other than that there would far more less pollution in the country side area.
In ever incident there are some negative point also such as if there more people travel to cities they would be less population in the country side and no one would wanted to live in the country side area due to which most of the places of country would become abandoned and that is the main negative point and due to this we could not able to make that place useful and other than that if more people would leave country side places there would be more crisis in the cities area because more population cause pollution and no one could not able to make the resources useful and due every one would walk to the track of destruction and due i will suggest that there should be a population in the country side to get rid of different problems

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both positive and negative aspects of rural-to-urban migration. However, the development of ideas is limited. The positive points regarding agricultural yield and environmental benefits are somewhat repetitive and lack specific, logical examples. The negative points regarding urban overcrowding and rural abandonment are mentioned but remain underdeveloped. The position is clear, but the overall argument lacks depth and sophistication. To improve, you should focus on providing concrete examples or more detailed explanations for each point raised, ensuring that the connection between the migration and the resulting consequences is clearly articulated for the reader.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is divided into two main paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. The use of cohesive devices is repetitive and often mechanical, such as the frequent use of 'and' and 'due to'. There is a lack of variety in linking words, which makes the flow of ideas feel disjointed. The transition between the positive and negative points is abrupt. To improve, you should use a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'on the other hand') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting ideas that flow logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple words like 'good', 'more', and 'things'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'stable the economy' and 'walk to the track of destruction', which indicate a limited control over collocations and idiomatic usage. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the reliance on a narrow range of vocabulary prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to urbanization, demographics, and economic development.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('no one would wanted'), sentence fragments, and run-on sentences. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent, which makes the text difficult to read at times. The misuse of modal verbs and prepositions is also evident throughout the response. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring that your verb tenses are consistent. Practicing the use of complex sentences with correct subordination will help improve your score in this criterion.
