Student answer (Band 5.0)
i strongly agree people are move to the city, so population of the countryside decreases.
in most of the develop countries people are moving to city. because it has better infrastructure in cities. also facitities are there which is the common need of people. by living in the city sometime it can be beniffical. beacsue they is lot of promotion and activies goin on in the city. you can particpate in such kind of activies and get a chance to win prizes. also if you are individual and you are the only person who earn by particpate in activies they can earn little amount of money which help make ends meet. also people leave country side because it does not meet the needs of people.
On a flip on a coin, if people move to the city the cities area is more populated and crowed. So over populated city has problem with traffic noise , poplution of car, some randon event etc. some people who want peace in their life or some are at the stage of their age factor which demand peace. So these kind of people move to the outskirts of the city or move to the rural areas for the peace.
in conclusion, its totally depend on the people needs. most of th people came to the city to earn money moreover, most of people want good infrastructure. on the other hand most people leave the city because of there rushness moreover people earn very much and they just want peace.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of rural-to-urban migration. However, the development of ideas is quite limited and superficial. For instance, the argument that people move to cities to 'win prizes' in activities is not a standard or convincing reason for urbanization. The position is somewhat clear, but the lack of depth in the arguments prevents a higher score. The essay touches on infrastructure and peace, but these points are not fully extended or supported with relevant, logical examples, leading to a somewhat repetitive conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical and disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is repetitive, with 'also' and 'moreover' being used frequently to start sentences. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'these kind of people', which lacks a strong antecedent. The progression of ideas is not always logical, particularly in the transition between the benefits of city life and the drawbacks, which feels abrupt. Paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'facitities', 'beniffical', 'beacsue', 'particpate', 'randon', 'crowed') and word choice inaccuracies (e.g., 'rushness' instead of 'hustle and bustle'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas, relying on basic, repetitive terms. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the frequent errors and lack of variety in word choice significantly hinder the quality of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people is move', 'they is lot of'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many run-on sentences and misused commas. While there is an attempt at complex sentences, they are often faulty and contain errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. The control of basic grammar is weak, and the range of structures is very limited.
