Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as it is only 210 words long and remains unfinished. Because the essay is incomplete, the position is not fully developed, and the conclusion is entirely missing. While you identify both positive and negative aspects, the lack of completion significantly impacts your ability to address all parts of the task. To improve, ensure you plan your time effectively to allow for a full introduction, two balanced body paragraphs, and a clear conclusion. You must also ensure that your arguments are fully extended with specific examples rather than just listing points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows some logical organization, with paragraphs dedicated to positive and negative aspects. However, the progression is interrupted by the abrupt ending. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the positive side' and 'Nevertheless', but the flow is sometimes mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the lack of a concluding paragraph prevents the essay from having a coherent overall structure. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly relates to your main position.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word forms. For example, you use 'in seek of' instead of 'in search of', and 'advance facilities' instead of 'advanced facilities'. You also use 'remote side' which is not a standard collocation for rural areas. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'economic and social growth', the range is somewhat limited. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you use the correct word forms (e.g., 'accessible' as an adjective vs 'access' as a verb).

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many individuals worries') and incorrect verb tenses or forms ('migration remain continue'). There are also missing articles and prepositions throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading your work for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, which are essential for clear communication.
