In this globalized world, people migrate from region to different in seek of jobs, education and many more things. In lots of countries, rural dweller are moving to urban area as result the population in the countryside is now decreasing. It has both positive and negative impact.
To commence with, there numerous benefit rural inhabitant can secure. All things boost people mental well-being and encourage civic sense.
Nevertheless, this trend has also some setbacks. Primary drawback is inequal distribution of vital things such as food, water, electricity and many more due to over population. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that the trend is a positive development despite some drawbacks. The ideas are relevant and generally well-supported, such as the discussion on job opportunities and infrastructure. However, some points are slightly under-developed; for instance, the explanation of how migration boosts 'civic sense' is vague. The structure is logical, moving from benefits to drawbacks and concluding with a balanced view. To reach a higher band, ensure that all claims are fully explained with more specific examples or deeper analysis rather than listing general concepts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'Secondly', and 'Nevertheless', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise (e.g., 'this thing is observed'). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the benefits from the drawbacks. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to the intended nouns to improve the flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'globalized', 'inhabitant', and 'pivotal'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'in seek of' instead of 'in search of', 'not sufficient educated' instead of 'not sufficiently educated', and 'inequal distribution' instead of 'unequal distribution'. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score. Expanding your range of collocations and focusing on accurate word forms will help improve your lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('there numerous benefit', 'this help them'), missing articles ('as result', 'in many prominent cities'), and incorrect verb forms ('can be cope' instead of 'can be coped'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument. To achieve a higher band, you should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly regarding pluralization, articles, and passive voice constructions.
