Student answer (Band 5.0)

Rural people are moving to cities , therefore the population in the village is fell in several countries around the world.I believe that ,it is negative development because unemployment rate also increased and In village wo will be take care of fields which provides food for us.

The first reason is unemployment ,due to large population in cities unemployment rate would be increased day by day because of percentage of people. The basic right of residents of employment will be loss .they facing challenging in their daily life and too basic needs.

However, people don't get education because of unemployment. They believe that if we get education in case but we can't proper employment. Furthermore,it affects of the economy of country the minimal ratio of employment and uneducated people will be raised.

Second reason is that,In village side the food grown in the fields will be end due to people leaving countryside to moving cities who take care of them our basic need will reaching at end .People grown their fruits , vegetables in fields in case they got benefit from them they sold them in market with fair price in order to earn money .So,they used money for several purposes like they buy animals for milk and they sold out the milk to earn money ,But in urban how they earn money if their life according to village and their moving cause harmful for fields.

In Conclusion, from my perspective country side population is decreasing cause the impact on fields or other side population increasing in urban cities significant affect on cities life like education and unemployment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by identifying the migration as a negative development and providing two main reasons: urban unemployment and the decline of agricultural productivity. However, the development of these ideas is limited. The arguments are repetitive and lack depth, particularly regarding the economic impact. The explanation of how urban migration affects food security is somewhat disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logic. To improve, you should focus on providing more specific, well-structured examples and ensuring that each paragraph clearly supports your central position without relying on circular reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'The first reason', 'Furthermore', 'In Conclusion'), they are often applied mechanically or incorrectly. Referencing is frequently confusing, such as in the sentence 'they facing challenging in their daily life and too basic needs', where the pronoun 'they' lacks a clear antecedent. Additionally, the transitions between sentences are often abrupt, which disrupts the flow of the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and often repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'population in the village is fell' instead of 'has fallen' and 'the basic right of residents of employment will be loss' instead of 'lost'. Some phrases are non-idiomatic, such as 'our basic need will reaching at end'. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary and focus on using words in their correct grammatical context. Try to learn collocations rather than isolated words to improve the naturalness of your expression.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb tenses (e.g., 'population... is fell'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'In village wo will be take care of fields which provides food for us.' The use of articles and prepositions is also inconsistent throughout the text. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, these are often structurally flawed. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring that your verb forms and word order are accurate before attempting more complex structures.
