Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as it is only 117 words long. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. The position is stated, but the development of ideas is severely limited and incomplete. The essay stops abruptly mid-sentence, preventing a full exploration of the topic or a conclusion. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and relevant examples, ensuring you reach the required length to fully develop your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'For instance', the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is not effectively used to separate distinct points, and the lack of a conclusion further hinders the overall coherence. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your ideas flow logically from one to the next, culminating in a summary or final thought.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple phrasing. There are issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'peoples decline the village' and 'backward area is very harmful'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to urbanization and socio-economic development, and focus on using words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('young people leaves', 'farms... struggle'), incorrect article usage ('the in many countries'), and awkward sentence construction. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
