Student answer (Band 5.0)
So as we know that the world is now rapidly changing and many changes also occurs. So one of the most urgent issue is that the rural people from the villages move towards the cities so due to this the population in the country side is now decreasing rapidly. And it also have some problems due to this the cities face many problems like accidents and traffic jam and pollution etc. So it has many reasons that the people are moving towards the cities because in the villages there is a lack of resources like they dont have hospitals and most of the peoples were died due to lack of medical equipments. And main reason is that the lack of educational institutes and most of the peoples in the villages are ignorant and they have no sense and do not know about the world progress and needs. So the other thing is that the peoples do not have the sources of income there is only way of income in countryside is agriculture but now the government do not take interest in the prices of crops and it also effect badly the lives of peoples in the countryside so the peoples moves towards the cities. And the other reason is that the roads in the countryside still remain unmetalled and peoples face many problems and when unfortunately rain has been started then they began to flow with water. So if the government should take some bold steps then the population in the countryside do not decrease and the balance has been maintain. And government should provide the all basics needs and basic facilities to the peoples in the countryside then there is no crisis in the country and everyone enjoy his life happily.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by identifying the migration of rural populations to cities as a negative development. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention reasons such as lack of medical facilities, education, and income, these points are presented as a list rather than being fully explored or supported with specific examples. The position is clear, but the essay lacks a formal structure, such as an introduction or conclusion, and the arguments are somewhat repetitive. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea with a clear link to the overall argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks paragraphing, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of ideas. The text is essentially one long block, which hinders logical flow. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often repetitive (e.g., starting many sentences with 'And' or 'So'). There is a lack of variety in linking words, and the transition between the problems of rural life and the proposed government solutions is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, you must organize your response into distinct paragraphs (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) and use a wider range of cohesive devices to connect your ideas more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'problems', 'things', and 'peoples' (which is grammatically incorrect in this context). There are some attempts at topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'agriculture' and 'educational institutes', but these are not used with enough precision. Additionally, there are word-choice errors, such as 'unmetalled' and 'flow with water', which sound unnatural. To improve, focus on learning collocations and synonyms for common words to express your ideas with more precision and variety.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many changes also occurs', 'most of the peoples were died'), article usage, and tense consistency. Sentence structures are mostly simple or compound, with very few attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with run-on sentences that lack proper clause separation. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of plural nouns, before attempting more complex structures.
