Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the past 2 decades, people are migration to well established cities and countries. It is often argued that, If rural population moved toward cities, then the countryside population become decrease, which may leads to shortage of workers and economy. However, there are other compelling reasons for positive development than negatives such as more career opportunities and better medical facilities. Therefore, I believe that it is a positive development.
To begin with, migration provide them a new career opportunities and highly paid salaries. In rural cities, there are lack of healthcare, education and job opportunities. To pursue better academic and higher studies students move to other nations. As advanced countries and cities provide more employment opportunities, schools facilitate environment where they use high tech computer and science labs for their project works and held several workshops, which definitely not possible in rural areas. Also the healthcare facilities are highly advanced. For example, a person living in small suburbs struggled with a lot of barriers, such as to reach city hospital they need to cover more kilometers. To achieve well suited job they need to go to and FRO everyday. Therefore, migrating to cities are the most favorable decision of people nowadays.
On the other hand, if a large proportion of the population moved from rural areas to other countries, it could lead to a severe shortage of skilled workers and laborer's in their hometowns. In rural areas, many people are engaged in agriculture and run small businesses that depend heavily on the local workforce. For instance, if a large number of young people from rural areas move abroad for better employment opportunities, local farms and small businesses may struggle to find enough workers. As a result, agricultural production could decline and small businesses may be forced to reduce their operations or close down. This could negatively affect the overall economy of rural communities.
In conclusion, although by shifting towards other countries impacts the local running businesses. However, this shift overall improve the people's lives by providing nearly available healthcare facilities so that diseases detect at early stage. Nevertheless, by giving opportunities to excel their career into more advanced level.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all parts of the task, providing a clear position that the migration is a positive development. You have supported your arguments with relevant examples, such as the lack of healthcare and education in rural areas versus the opportunities in cities. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The second paragraph is quite detailed, but the conclusion is slightly repetitive and lacks a strong summary of your main points. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended and that your conclusion provides a more cohesive synthesis of your position rather than simply restating points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as the opening of the conclusion: 'although by shifting towards other countries impacts the local running businesses. However, this shift...'. This sentence structure is grammatically fragmented and disrupts the flow. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help your ideas progress more smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'compelling reasons', 'employment opportunities', and 'agricultural production'. There are some instances of imprecise word choice or awkward collocations, such as 'rural cities' (which is a contradiction) and 'to and FRO' (which is informal and incorrectly used). Additionally, there are minor errors in word form, such as 'laborer's' (should be plural 'laborers'). To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'people are migration' (should be 'migrating'), 'population become decrease' (should be 'decreases'), and 'migrating to cities are' (should be 'is'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage throughout the text. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to keep the score in the 6.0 range. Focusing on proofreading for basic tense and agreement errors would significantly improve your score.
