Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many countries around the world, village individuals are migrating to urban area, therefore the population in rural areas is reducing which creates challenges during farming or agriculture works etc. From my perspective, it creates a negative impact on agriculture and farming.

To commence with, there are several opportunities which pushed the rural area individuals to move an upgrade area. Likely, education system is very modified in urban area which impresses them to move an city for their bright future. Moreover, employment sector like abundant on jobs are available in cities which is very limited in rural areas nevertheless it is a major reason for migration of human h=beings to urban cities.

Furthermore, it creates many challenges for citizens living in urban areas because when the individuals of rural areas left there village thus, agriculture secture faces the many hurdles which result in low consumption of crops like rice, wheat and sugarcane etc. As a result, our economy declines due to low consumption of these crops results in low export. Therefore, From my perspective, its mandatory for people in rural area stay happy with their life in villages then every single citizen is feeling excellent in urban areas. Lastly, my cousin saled their agriculture land in our village, Okara then shifted to Lahore capital of Punjab, after that, they invent in cars showroom they face several difficuties in the start. As a result, they loss their investment in cars because of lack of experience.

In conclusion, I strongly, disagree with this statement migration of rural people to cities, As a result they donot gain anything in urban cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by identifying the migration as a negative development. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention the impact on agriculture and the economy, the explanation is somewhat superficial and lacks logical depth. The personal example regarding your cousin is relevant but is not effectively linked back to the main argument about the broader societal impact of rural-to-urban migration. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a clear, well-supported point that directly answers the 'why' behind your position, rather than listing general observations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical use of cohesive devices. For example, the transition 'To commence with' and 'Furthermore' are used, but the internal logic of the sentences they introduce is sometimes unclear. Referencing is occasionally confusing, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between the cousin's experience and the conclusion is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of incorrect word choice or awkward collocations, such as 'village individuals', 'upgrade area', 'modified education system', and 'saled their agriculture land'. These errors occasionally make the meaning difficult to follow. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct context. Avoid translating directly from your native language, as this often leads to unnatural phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('agriculture secture faces', 'they loss their investment'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, which hinders readability. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, these are frequently inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and word order before submitting your work.
