Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under-length at 149 words, failing to meet the 250-word minimum requirement. This severely limits the development of ideas. While you introduce the topic and mention both positive and negative aspects, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. You mention that cities provide healthcare and finance, but you do not fully explore the implications of this migration on either the cities or the rural areas. To improve, you must expand your points with detailed explanations and relevant examples to ensure the task is fully addressed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into three short paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as 'on the other hand' and 'for examples'. There is a lack of transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs, and the conclusion is entirely missing. The ideas within the paragraphs are presented in a list-like fashion rather than being woven into a coherent argument. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to convey complex ideas. Phrases like 'huge quantity of population' and 'income generator' are unnatural and imprecise. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'contains various flaws' and 'makes people attracted towards cities'. You rely on simple, everyday language that does not demonstrate the range required for higher bands. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to urbanization and rural development.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'In modern era a huge quantity of population is shifted' (incorrect article and passive voice usage) and 'no pollution which would intrupt anyones's health' (spelling and punctuation errors). The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. You need to focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and accurate punctuation. Practicing complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or conditional sentences, will help improve your range.
